Richard Hammerberg

PE, President of CTL|Thompson Texas, LLC

   

One of our many longtime executives, Richard Hammerberg has worked with CTL|Thompson throughout his professional career beginning in 1984. Having started as a Project Engineer, Mr. Hammerberg has specialized in construction materials testing, particularly focusing on concrete, cement and flyash. A registered engineer in Texas and Colorado, he is Vice Chairman of the Dallas Geotechnical Institute for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); past Director and current member of the Northeast Texas Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI); and member of the Dallas Homebuilders Association and the Consulting Engineers Council. Mr. Hammerberg holds a master of science in geotechnical engineering and a bachelor of science in civil engineering, both from Iowa State University, and a bachelor of arts in business administration from Wartburg College.

Overseeing CTL|Thompson’s Texas’ general operations (known as CTL|Thompson Texas), he also performs concrete and asphalt mix design; and provides engineering consultation services related to concrete failures. He has worked on numerous large-scale projects including Denver International Airport where he served as Quality Assurance Laboratory Manager.
