Mr. Holmquist has worked with CTL|Thompson since 1976 where he began as a Project Engineer. He has served many other roles for the firm including President. Mr. Holmquist holds a master of science in civil engineering and a bachelor of science with honors in civil engineering, both from the University of Texas. A registered engineer in six states including Colorado and Texas, he is also a Certified Consulting Engineer; Certified Expert Witness; and an Arbitrator, Mediator and a Partnering Facilitator. Mr. Holmquist is past President of the American Consulting Engineers Council of Colorado (ACEC/CO), a Fellow and past National Director of ACEC, a member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT), and has received many honors and awards. He has extensive experience in large projects including Denver International Airport and I-70 through Glenwood Canyon, both of which received the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement award.

In his role as Senior Principal Consultant, Mr. Holmquist’s primary duties include marketing coordination and support for the Austin and Dallas offices of CTL|Thompson Texas, LLC, with emphasis on infrastructure, transportation, and large commercial and industrial projects. In addition, he will provide technical review in support of the engineering staff to fully ensure clients receive quality service.
