Ron McOmber

PE, President/CEO

Ron McOmber has been with CTL|Thompson since 1978. He has progressed from Project Engineer through management of the field and geotechnical engineering divisions in Denver to executive leadership. Specializing in expansive soils, Mr. McOmber is a registered engineer in Colorado. He is a member and past President of the Colorado Association of Geotechnical Engineers (CAGE); member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); and is an active participant in ASFE (a not-for-profit trade association serving geoprofessional environmental, and civil engineering firms). Mr. McOmber also contributes time to education and training efforts through the Home Builder’s Association of Metropolitan Denver. Mr. McOmber holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering and a master of science specializing in geotechnical engineering from The Ohio State University, and a master of business administration from the University of Colorado.

As President and CEO of CTL|Thompson, Mr. McOmber is responsible for leadership of the firm, including employee development, strategic planning and performance of the company. He also acts as expert witness for projects involving geotechnical engineering; and conducts oversight and review of soils engineering projects.
