John Mechling

John Mechling has worked for CTL|Thompson since 1978 when he joined the firm as a Field Technician. He specializes in slope stability analyses and earth retention systems design. Mr. Mechling is a registered engineer in Colorado and Utah, and a Certified Field Testing Technician. Mr. Mechling holds an associate of applied science in construction technology from the University of New York at Delhi and a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Colorado. He is an associate member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and ASFE (a not-for-profit trade association serving geoprofessional, environmental and civil engineering firms), as well as a technical member of the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC).

Mr. Mechling manages the Glenwood Springs branch of CTL|Thompson, overseeing the engineering consultation provided by the firm. He provides geotechnical engineering reports for commercial, residential and industrial projects, as well as supervising the quality assurance of testing of soils, asphalt and concrete.
