Damon Thomas began working with CTL|Thompson in 1989 while earning his undergraduate degree. Developing specialized talents in pavement design, evaluation and subsidence engineering, Mr. Thomas has also conducted geotechnical investigations for commercial and residential sites, earth dams, retaining walls and bridges. He has done extensive laboratory testing and surveying with a special emphasis on finite element computer analyses of slopes and geosynthetic reinforced retaining walls. Mr. Thomas holds a master of science in civil engineering and a bachelor of science in architectural engineering both from the University of Colorado. He is a registered engineer in Colorado and Wyoming, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the engineering fraternity, Chi Epsilon. As Project Manager, Mr. Thomas was responsible for overseeing the Denver pavement group managing all design and evaluation work. In September, 2005, he was promoted to Associate and Division Manager of CTL | Thompson Materials Engineers, Inc. where he now manages the day-to-day operations on the materials laboratory, while expanding his knowledge of Portland cement based materials. |
